Cumbria Rugby Union

Wednesday the 6th November saw 10 clubs in Cumbria attend a 'RugbySafe' Workshop run by Neil Marston - Cumbria RFU Rugbysafe Manager. Neil's extensive background in Health and Safety and also previously a Paramedic make him an excellent deliverer for this important topic. During the course of the evening the session covered;

• RugbySafe Quiz
• An Overview of RugbySafe
• Update on Programmes under the RugbySafe Umbrella
• Signposting to Supporting Resources & Information
• Club Responsibilities & the 'RugbySafe Lead'
• Future Workshop Planning

The session was interactive with some great thoughts and suggestions coming from the attendees. There will be follow up sessions in either a cluster or countywide format and clubs have gone away to assess their priorities regarding RugbySafe to inform future sessions.

All attendees left with a RugbySafe Goody Pack for their Club and also 8 rugby balls as a 'Thank You' from England Rugby after the recent events in Japan.
